We all go through different trials and tribulations, some unfortunately more than others. No matter how great the trauma, whether it is physical, mental or emotional, it still leaves a huge scar not visible to the naked eye. There are those of us who will try to deal with this ourselves, hinting here and there to anyone who will listen, and regrettably there are those who are too ashamed or embarrassed to talk in fear they would be judged, ridiculed or even worse disbelieved and left alone. Instead we keep it trapped within ourselves, hoping it will just fade away and disappear. However, no matter how great the performance is, the underlying issue can be triggered over and over again by little things, sometimes unknown even to ourselves. We begin to have anger issues or fears which can lead to anxiety or depression. More often than not this leads to an illness and if left too long inside us, could eventually turn into a dis-ease which may or may not be curable by western medicine.
Why do we do this to ourselves?
Our bodies are amazing, they send out signals for all kinds of situations including hunger, thirst and pain. They can also stimulate enough chemicals (endorphins, serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin, plus many more) to keep us at peace, happy and even give us enough strength to run from danger- the fight or flight mode. Our bodies are equipped to help keep us healthy and strong for as long as we are meant to be here, but only when listened to. At the same time, our life experiences are also stored in the cells of our body, energy fields, tissue, meridians, chakras and when pain is left unprocessed or raw from the trauma experienced, be it spiritual, mental, emotional and/or physical, it too will start to send out signals if left unhealed. Resulting in fear, anger, anxiety, depression, apathy, self-loathing, illness and/or dis-ease. We need to process our feelings and try to understand the situation we had to endure so we can start to heal, eventually forgiving ourselves and others. This will inevitably lead us to letting go, cleansing and clearing the body's, as well as the cellular memory of all the trauma stored. We understand that it can be difficult to take the first steps, or even allow ourselves to reveal our deepest selves to others. However, by allowing yourself to open up and accept the healing and energy from the Higher Beings who only ever want your Highest good, you will with time be able to look at the trauma from a different perspective, not as a victim, but as a hero. We can start the healing process and put together all the pieces we need to recover, to kill off the old ways and habits of destroying ourselves and learn how to have unconditional love and respect for ourselves. We can finally take back and stand in our own power, get back on our rightful path, live in the here and now, and live the life we truly deserve.
